When you're with a guy, you need to assume that a certain level of physical contact is necessary to keep the relationship interesting and strong. Despite what most guys would openly admit, cuddling, hugging, and holding hands means more to us than you probably realize.
Giving a guy physical contact tells him that you care about him, and have a tender side specifically for him. This does not, by any stretch whatsoever, mean that you should completely put yourself out there. Contrary to what many girls would think, a guy actually is NOT solely interested in your chest and your butt. In fact, any guy who's worth your time will realize that by not putting everything forward so quickly, you have a sense of self-respect and a level of confidence in yourself that almost any guy loves.
Almost any guy wants to move forward in the physical aspect of a relationship; however, you shouldn't be afraid to initiate the next stage of physical contact (be it anything from holding hands to intimate contact) or be afraid to tell a guy that he's moving too fast for you. Us guys are never going to be happy or fully satisfied if we know that our actions are making you uncomfortable or upset, so tell us!
Remember, when in doubt, ask us. Honesty isn't that hard to come by with a guy if you know what you're asking, and if you trust the guy enough to not be afraid of the answer.
